7 Quick Takes (v. III)

If you’re new around here, every once awhile I like to round up seven quick things that I’m loving and finding amusing about Harrison. It’s my way of memorializing these small little bits of his personality that he will likely outgrow in hopes that someday I look back at them and remind myself what Harrison was like growing up. Harrison is 2 now, and he’s on his sixth week at home with Nathan and I during full time quarantine. That means I’ve got loads of material watching, playing, and hanging out with our little man so much!

-1- The number of times a day I ask him, “Harrison – are your listening ears turned on?” As he points to his ears to show me – “yup – heard you, Mom. Just choosing to do my own 2 year old thing. K-Bye.”

-2- The things he must hear a lot from Nathan and I working, because he’s starting repeating them to us. “Harrison on a call.” “Daddy do work.”

-3- A complete fascination with “ohhhhhh BIG TRUCK!!!!”

-4- Harrison where are we walking to? “Mommy Daddy’s house.”

-5- Apparently he’s taken over being in charge of Sawyer. Informing us, “Sawyer in trouble.” “Soy Soy HUSH!” And “SAWYER DROP IT!”

-6- His love of “spicy wa-wa,” more commonly referred to by the general public as “La Croix”

-7- The way he cheers for himself – “YAY HARRISON! Hooray!” Literally says, “hooray!” Cracks me up every time. I can’t remember the last time I heard someone say, “Hooray!”

  1. My youngest is 2 and he is a sponge. Repeats everything he hears. And is an expert tattle tale on his brothers. Lol. He says “shh” like he’s in charge and “I’m on a coffee call” while he plays with his toy phone. Happy Weekend!
