Friday Favorites {11.13.20}

I’ve got a soft place in my heart for Friday the 13th. Little Harrison Lane graced us with his presence in this world on a Friday the 13th. It was the one day that I didn’t want him to come, but now they seem kind of special to me. I hope you all had a good week, and are headed into a fun weekend ahead. Only a couple more weeks until Thanksgiving, which seems just impossible!

I have to give credence to this huge historic moment that’s definitely a favorite this week.

Am I excited to see a woman advance to the second highest position in the country? YES. Am I still fighting to see a woman in the highest position in the country in my lifetime? 1000% yes. This was a huge step in making our leadership reflective of our country as a whole. But still more work to do, friends. Let’s not let up. Congratulations, Kamala!

Cousin time! Delayed Halloween carnival was a success! The kids had so much fun. We may have to make this a regular October event. The kids did a Halloween themed egg hunt in the backyard, fishing for treats, and a cake walk (minus the cake). We topped off the evening with dinner on the patio in gorgeous fall weather. I say it a million times, but family is truly everything and I’m so thankful to raise the babies together.

These boys. Aside from that ugly orange Broncos jersey, I love watching Nathan be a dad to our boys.

The rare time of being able to hold this baby while he snoozes. He usually likes to nap in his crib, but earlier this week he was so tired that he finally fell asleep being held. And second, that I actually had the time to just be able to sit and hold a sleeping baby. It’s good for the soul!

Nathan said that this podcast episode of the Tim Ferris Show with Matthew McConaughey was really interesting and entertaining, and he was so right! I don’t regularly listen to this podcast, but Matthew McConaughey is an incredible storyteller.

Happy weekend, friends! I’ll see you back here next Tuesday!
