Friday Favorites {04.15.22}

Happy Friday, friends! I’m excited for the weekend. We’re celebrating as a family Harrison’s birthday tonight, and the boys are home with me today because their daycare is closed for in-service training. I’m looking forward to an extra day of putting my Mom hat on, doing some fun things with the boys, and getting ready for Easter this weekend!

I have a whole bunch of super random favorites today! A new purse, baby shower details from a few weekends ago, and, of course, things that I saved from Instagram this week that made me smile or laugh. Happy Easter to those of you who celebrate, and have a great weekend!

I picked up a few things during Madewell’s spring sale. One of which was this new crossbody purse. I love the magnetic snap closure on top, and we all know that crossbody is a must with littles so all hands are free to juggle kid stuff!

Celebrated a sweet friend welcoming their first little one! We can’t wait to meet this sweet babe.

How cute were these orange juice ice cubes for MOM-osas?

We did a theme of ”Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” to celebrate the mom to be!

We had so much fun serving brunch as our food, and incorporating a gender neutral theme, since they aren’t sharing the gender until the birth!

Little known fact about me: I love cereal. Not the sugary cereal of childhood, because I was never allowed to have it growing up and never really developed a taste for it. (My mom is currently reading this thinking, ”Wow! I did something right!” hahahaha.) But I love a good bowl of cereal. I ate Cheerios with lots of milk every morning for YEARS. Pretty much all through high school and college.

I still love Cheerios. But this cereal from Trader Joe’s may be my most favorite cereal of all. It’s filling, just a touch sweet, and soooo crunchy. I buy four or more boxes every time I make a Trader Joe’s run because I love it so much!

If you don’t know about Half Baked Harvest and Tieghan Gerard’s recipes, oh my. Do yourself a favor and follow her now on Instagram. I just bought her new cookbook. My mouth was seriously watering just flipping through it, and Nathan looked through it and announced, ”There are at least 50 recipes in here that look insanely good.” Pretty much every new (and amazing!) new recipe I’ve tried in the past six months has been from her. She’s phenomenal and so down to earth.

And this just made me laugh…and then I immediately sent it to Nathan. I’m convinced the only way men can find something is if he inanimate object jumps up and yells, “HERE I AM!” when they’re searching for it.

Have a great weekend! I’m off to ice a birthday cake!

  1. OH yes, that last meme applies to my husband (and 3 boys!) as well!! The baby shower looks so fun and that is such a cute theme. We never once found out if we were having a boy or girl and just let it be a surprise to everyone.
