July Garden Update

Watching the garden grow in the summer brings me endless joy. I love seeing how things play well together, making mental notes to myself on the color combinations used. Dare I say that this may be my favorite year YET. I went out at the beginning of July and took some pictures of the gardens to share!

I’m going to share the June picture followed by the July picture, because I always thinks it’s so amazing to see how things fill in during such a short period of time.

Except for my always a problem child shade pot, things are progressing well and getting big! I’m most excited to see the zinnias bloom that I direct seeded in the early summer and the glads to start to come out!

How are your gardens growing this year?

    1. Thank you! It’s the stage of the growing cycle here where most things still look beautiful and before the bugs really start. Ha!

    1. I have a few herbs growing this year, too, and I keep having to google things like: recipes with oregano. Hahahaha.

  1. I’m so jealous how well you’ve kept your flowers going this excessively heat summer! I’m struggling at our house – dang KC heat lol!

    1. Oh my goodness yes! So hot! And this weeks looks like it may even be worse! I finally spent the extra time upfront to run drip irrigation to all of my beds and pots this year, and I honestly think that has helped with ensuring most of it is thriving and getting enough water.
