My favorite post of the month! Truthfully, the last Wednesday of the month came fast this month. If felt like I was just writing January’s version of this post!
As always, I’m linking up with Shay and Sheaffer to share with you what’s going on in our life!
1: WHAT WE’RE EATING THIS WEEK: This week we’re going to have potato soup and homemade soft pretzels chicken fajitas.
2: WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT:
Being so close to welcoming this new baby has me reminiscing about this sweet little COVID baby. Baby J had the loudest cry ever from the moment he was born. But was the absolute best snuggler. I’ve said it before that this birth and post-partum was not what I had ever envisioned, but this little guy healed my heart during a time that the world just felt so lonely and broken. Forever grateful for him.
3. WHAT I’M LOVING: There are tiny little buds of starting to pop up in my garden. The very first signs that spring is coming!
I mentioned it last Friday, but I’m loving this Elote Chopped Salad kit from Trader Joe’s This might go down as one of my favorite bagged salad blends. Its delicious!
And I’ve been loving this lower lash liner that’s a really nice nude color, too. I feel like it makes my eyes look more awake and alert than I actually feel. 😂
4. WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO:
I’ve been up to still growing a tiny human…
Nathan and Harrison hit the slopes in Breckenridge. They had THE BEST time.
We celebrated Valentine’s Day and the Super Bowl Chiefs win!
And this past weekend we celebrated Nathan’s birthday!
5. WHAT I’M DREADING: I’m not particularly dreading anything. I’m starting to mentally prepare for labor and delivery, but not dreading it even though it’s not very pleasant.
6. WHAT I’M WORKING ON: All of the things that have to get done this spring before baby arrives! That means Harrison’s fifth birthday party and Easter baskets. Going through clothes the boys have grown out of and putting them away, and figuring out what they need for summer.
Not to mention, putting together the nursery for our new little one and making sure we have what we need to bring baby home!
7. WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT: I’m starting to feel the itch of spring, and it has me so excited! Spring is my absolute favorite season! The greening up of everything outside. The garden centers teeming with new plants just waiting for me to buy them. And this spring, bringing home our last little one!
8. WHAT I’M WATCHING & READING: I didn’t do my usual monthly book review yesterday because I only got through one book in January. Right now, I’m about halfway through Prince Harry’s book.
We’re watching and loving 1923 and The Last of Us.
And you know we’re working our way through the new season of Summer House, too!
9. WHAT I’M LISTENING TO: Silence.
10. WHAT I’M WEARING: Lots and lots of oversized sweaters. My preggo wardrobe in the winter! (And not pregnant, for that matter.)
11. WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND: It’s the semi-annual consignment sale that I try to buy ALL of the boys’ clothes at for the next season. It’s a marathon morning with my sister picking through racks after racks of clothes finding the best deals, but it saves me a ton of money in the long run.
12: FAVORITE AMAZON FIND THIS MONTH: My favorite Amazon purchase this month was…
13. WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH: Starting to come out of our inside winter bunker and enjoy the fresh air and warmer temps as we head toward spring!
Happy Wednesday, friends!
Okay, I’ve been trying to figure out what carb to have with soup tonight and now I’m inspired to see if I’ll have time to make pretzels! YUM! And thank you for the idea!
They are so good!!
Oh yes, I am really looking forward to spring too!
The best season, in my opinion. ☺️
Water bottle organizer, what a novel idea! I hate how everything falls all over the place.
Yes! You’d try to reach for one in the back and invariably end up knocking over several trying to pull it out.
What a great month! I just started Spare this week. I’m excited to read it. I can’t wait for springtime as well. We’ve had really mild temps.
Oh I can’t wait to hear what you think of it.
What does “a creamy elote-style dressing” taste like, please? We don’t have a Trader Joes, otherwise I’d just run in and grab a bag and find out for myself. LOL
I’d say it tastes like Mexican ranch. 😂
🤔😜😆
