Blue Mountain Beach Vacation Recap

Our little family hasn’t shied away from vacations this summer. We are making up for lost time jetsetting the country after forgoing most vacations during my pregnancy and Harrison’s first year of life. This time we headed south to Blue Mountain Beach with Nathan’s family for a week of being beach bums.

Blue Mountain Beach is the Lane’s go-to-getaway family vacation, but I had never been until now! And I can’t believe what I was missing out on this whole time. Blue Mountain Beach sits on the panhandle of Florida, and it was insanely BEAUTIFUL! White sandy beaches, turquoise waters, the cutest little beach towns. I declared it hands down the most gorgeous beach I have ever seen in the continental U.S.

We did very little other than lay around, and had one sick day with little Harrison. So the only thing I have to show for this vacation is a whole load of pictures, and a good tan.

Mom – I’ve got my hat. I’m ready to go!

Harrison’s first time at the beach and seeing the ocean.

Night one we had a picnic on the beach.

Our first full beach day…

My sister-in-law, Ashton. Isn’t she gorgeous?

People ask me all the time where Harrison’s blonde hair comes from – that blonde hair is courtesy of the Lane side of the family. They were all blondies when they were little, but only Ashton was lucky enough to keep it into adulthood.

I talk about my swimsuit HERE. And my headband is from Amazon and is super inexpensive – here.

We had dinner at Red Fish Taco this night. Delicious Mexican food after a long day beachin’.

The next day our poor little buddy had a terrible fever, and Harrison and I spent the whole day in the condo with one trip to urgent care. 🙁

By the evening, though, he had one dose of antibiotics for an ear infection, and was starting to act more like himself.

The next morning, our little guy was finally feeling up for some more beach time, so we headed back down to the beach for the day. Full of snacking, sandcastle building, and playing in the ocean.

You can’t do beach time without snacks.
Sandcastles with Pops
Our little fam

Friday evening, Gigi and Pops gave the kids a night out together away from the baby. Nathan is the oldest of four, and we cover an age range of 14 years. I could not have married into a better family. I adore these people, and we always have so much fun.

Fresh crab legs and seafood for dinner!
We can still hang with the kids – just barely. Ok, I can’t, but I try. 🙂

The next day was our very last beach day before Nathan, Harrison and I headed home, and we made the most of the most beautiful day of the whole trip.

Playing in the sand with Aunt Ashton
Snacking and snoozing with Dad

Then we went to a neighboring town, Seaside, for an amazing seafood dinner with an equally gorgeous view of the ocean. Somebody was LOVING their dinner…

Making room for that fully belly

Until next time…
