Between being SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS, Valentine’s day this week, and celebrating Nathan’s birthday this weekend, it feels like it’s been such a busy and fun week getting to celebrate so many things! The downside of working for a team scattered all over the US, though, is that no one else seemed to care that Kansas City was shut down on Wednesday for a championship parade. 🙂
I’m so excited to celebrate Nathan this weekend! The boys are pumped for cake and happy birthdays, and I’m looking forward to a fun birthday date night on Sunday.
The Chiefs won the Super Bowl! Again! We hosted my sister’s family for a chips dinner party. Yup. There were other things to eat besides chips, but I’m not sure the kids noticed. Just strictly a chips only diet.
They both stayed up until the end of the game. Here we are after they clinched the title! Harrison was so excited but exhausted that he opted to sleep in his pants and Chiefs shirt rather than jammies.
My four year old comes home with holes in the knees of his pants pretty much every other week. “I’m going to go broke buying you new uniform pants every month!” I tell him. It does no good. He just wears his clothes hard, I guess.
Buuuut, I just discovered the most amazing thing. Cat & Jack will replace ANY piece of clothing for any reason within a year of buying it.
I buy everything on the app, so I just scrolled back to the earliest date within the past year that I had purchased his uniform pants and requested a replacement due to quality issues, and they showed up a week later. And all the parents of little kids wearing holes in their pants said, “Amen.”
Guys, that policy is a game changer at the Lane house.
This salad is truly magical from Trader Joe’s.
So yummy. Such an easy lunch – in fact, I get two lunches out of one bag. I toss in a cut up hard boiled egg, and it’s yum. yum. yum.
That’s all I have for this week! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Such cute photos this week! I’ll never forget that Kmart used to have a return policy like that for all kids items because our dog ATE my little sister’s easter’s shoes one years and the only thing left was the heels. My mom went to the courtesy desk just to ask if they had any left in the size she needed and the woman was like “oh we replace these for free”… my mom nearly argued with the woman since clearly there was nothing wrong with the quality!
The hand-me-downs we have for our younger son are lacking in the pants department as very few pants made it through my older son without getting holes. That’s great you found a place to send replacements, especially for uniforms!
Go Chiefs! I was actually home sick on Wednesday so I streamed it on the tv. So fun to see everyone celebrating. That’s an awesome tip about cat and Jack. I never knew that. I hope you all have a great weekend.
