I’ve ghosted more than I like over the past few weeks, and I’m sorry. I have the best intentions of getting up early to write or writing on the weekends, and then I end up choosing a work-out or sleep, or work before writing. My client for work is soooo close to the finish line, though. One more week to go, and I’m committed, as in I’ve actually written or started writing, all of my posts for next week. So, it’s going to happen.
While the week was busy with endless hours of work, I’m looking forward to the weekend. We’ll be spending a lot of time outside, getting the grill out for the first time this season, and spending the morning at the zoo with the cousins on Saturday.
AHHHH! We finally have one family member who is fully vaccinated!! Yay! And we couldn’t have been happier to let the boys give hugs, play away both outside and INSIDE, with their Aunt Ashton. I. Am. Ready. For. More. Of. This.
Harrison is transitioning up to “the big kid” classroom this week, and HE WAS SO EXCITED. His bestest buds all have earlier birthdays, so they moved up over the past few months, and Harrison has been asking to move up for weeks. And this is the week! He is so happy to be back with his friends! And that makes his mama super excited, too.
If you’ve been around for the past year, you know how often we walked down to our town square for ice cream last summer. Because pregnant Lauren in the dead of summer could not get enough ice cream. And this past weekend it was nice enough to take the whole family for a little walk for our very first scoop of the season. There’s nothing better than an ice cream lunch.
And because the weather was SO SPRING LIKE this past week, Sawyer and I got out for a mental health walk in the middle of the day that completely changed my attitude.
Go to Trader Joe’s with five things on your list, come home with three times as many things. Every single time. I’m a sucker for dips. I think if it were appropriate to only have meals of chips and dip, I would be here for it. This one is delightful. Tastes like a sour cream dip thanks to the Greek yogurt, combined with their delicious Everything seasoning. So good. And I can tell myself it’s healthy because of the “Greek style yogurt” part…
Harrison has really been hitting a sweet spot lately. This little boy who for what seemed like so long could never slow down and pushed every last boundary, has somehow found his stride, and all of his feeling words. Which includes numerous, “I love you, mama’s” and long cuddles and hugs at night. And I looooove nothing more than hugs and cuddles with my boys.
Happy weekend, friends!
I am so with you! Dips should totally be a meal category!
A hundred percent!
That’s so fun for Harrison to be with his best friends again! I agree about Trader Joe’s…I always come out with 20 things when I have 5 on my list. The weather was great here too this week. I’m ready for spring. Have a great weekend!
Always. Always. Always come out of TJ’s with three times more than I planned for… At least it’s yummy stuff. 😄
I have to try that everything but the bagel dip! I love those sweet moments and when we see our kids find their rhythm. It makes a big difference. I hope you have a great weekend!
It always makes me sad to leave really wonderful teachers behind, but so hopeful that he’ll continue to flourish in his new class. 😊 Happy Friday!
I need that everything bagel stuff! I love everything bagel!!!
Me too!
Trader Joe’s has so many delicious things and dips are one of my weaknesses too! I haven’t tried this particular you featured and I am sensing I need to! I love the snuggles and cuddles from my little guy too. Aren’t they just the best?! I hope you are having a great weekend so far!
