Our Denver Trip! (And Harrison’s First Time Skiing)

A couple of weeks ago, Nathan and Harrison headed out to drive across the state of Kansas to Colorado for their very first ski trip. I packed them a lunch to eat in the car, and they were off for the mountains! Harrison was a level 12 out of 10 excited for this trip. All of the good one-on-one time with his Dad and beautiful setting was a perfect father/son trip.

After a couple of days, Jonathan and I packed up and flew out to Denver to meet the boys back in the city and spend a couple of days with Nathan’s parents, the boys’ Gigi and Pops.

The boys rented a small studio apartment in the village at Breckenridge. Harrison was SO EXCITED to get fitted his first day of ski school.

He looks like such a little man in all of his snow gear!

Post skiing day one!

Jonathan and I packed up and headed to the airport as my first solo flight with a lap child!

He did so well on the flight!

When we got to Denver, we went a super long walk with Gigi to get some of our wiggles out after being cooped up for so long!

The boys came back early to Denver because of a ski injury (that thankfully isn’t going to require surgery!) and our little man was already super tired after two days of skiing. So the next morning, we all got to go to the aquarium.

This might have been the coolest aquarium we’ve been to yet:

These little brothers were so happy to be back together again.

Nap time happy hour felt like a dream two days in a row!

The next day, we went to the Natural History museum, which was a huge hit as well.

Later that evening, we got to go on a fancy date night to celebrate our birthdays and Valentine’s day.

The next morning, we headed off to go back home! A quick trip, but so much fun to get to spend a few days away!
