Sticker Nails

It takes me a while to try out a fad. I really have to be convinced that maybe there’s something to it. That maybe there’s a reason that so many people like it. Maybe that’s the reason it’s taken me so long to try sticker nail polish. Years have gone by since I first heard friends and acquaintances talk about sticker nail polish. Usually I’d hear it in relation to a particular company, Color Street. And that was fine for everyone else, but having painted nails was just never my thing.

I’m tough on my nails. I can’t stand to have them long. They are used for digging in the dirt, peeling off stickers from objects that stickers should have never been stuck to, and just general housework. My entire life, painted nails only resulted in immediately a chip in the nail polish, followed by days of me slowly peeling off all remaining nail polish. Once it chips, I just can’t help myself! So I had resigned myself to just not being a fingernail polish person.

I’m not sure why I changed my mind, but I finally decided to give sticker nail polish a shot. After some research, I decided to try out Dashing Diva. Why you ask? Because I could order them from Target with the rest of my pick-up order. And convenience at this point in my life with two little boys running around is key.

And you guys…it changed my mindset about painted fingernails. I LOVED them.

They didn’t chip. They stayed on for almost two weeks, and they felt like my natural nails with just paint on them.

I was hooked. I’ve since discovered you can also order them from Ulta, and there are SO MANY cute colors and designs. No waiting for nails to dry only to have them chip by end of day. I love these so much for when I want a cute pop of color on my nails.

They’re easy to apply – You just pick out the right size for each fingernail.

Peel and stick them on the nail.

File off the very end of the sticker that overhangs your nail.

And then I use nail clippers to cut them really short the way I like them. Because no matter what, I still don’t understand how people can operate with long nails.

Ok, tell me what color/design would you pick out for fall?

  1. I haven’t heard of these! I’ve done Mani Me and it took a few tries to get the hang of it, but I like the option! Obviously, not the convenience of Target or Ulta. I will have to check them out.

    1. I can’t believe I’ve held off for this long trying something like this. I thought I was just resigned to always chipped nails or just no nail polish at all. You mentioned Mani Me before – I still need to look into them!

  2. You inspired me because I’m the SAME way! I like my nails super short, hate sitting in a nail chair for an hour, spending money on something that ultimately disappoints me. I scooped some of these at Target yesterday and did them while the kids napped and they turned out SO cute!! Thank you!
