Trader Joe’s Staples

I went to Trader Joe’s this past week with a list of five things, and true to form, I came home with a full cart and two bottles of wine. Trader Joe’s isn’t a weekly must go to grocery store for us. I usually make it to TJ’s once a month, sometimes even less than that. So when I do make my monthly shopping run, I get all of our Trader Joe’s staples. And a few new things to try along the way, too.

All the snacks that I like to have in the fridge and pantry. Hard boiled eggs for an easy, quick breakfast or to throw on top of a salad. We LOVE the Bambas and Inner Peas for the kids. All the cheese snacks in the fridge. Nathan and I go through SO MUCH cheese snacks. We’re worse than the boys. 😊. The Marcona almonds are delicious, and I saw these truffle versions the last trip and had to try them. SO GOOD. And Nathan loves some beef jerky, too.

The cornbread mix from TJ’s needs to be IN. Everyone’s. Pantries. It is THE BEST cornbread. I always have several boxes on hand. Harrison loves the smoothies breakfast. I love having the frozen rice as an easy side dish for the family or just the kids. Cottage cheese just seems to go with summer, for me. Am I the only one? And then you can’t beat their pasta.

The egg frittatas and the açaí bowls are perfect for a fast and filling breakfast before hopping on work calls. Frozen veggies and frozen shrimp are just good staples to have around. An easy pasta addition. And I, for some reason, have a real thing for pomegranate seeds.

I always, always, always stock up on my olive oil at Trader Joe’s. I’m sitting right now, writing this post, eating those pita bite crackers and Everything but the Bagel spread. Delicious. Such a good snack!

The chicken salad and the Southwest Salad are good, easy lunches for me at home. And every mom and dad deserves a little treat at the end of the night. The dark chocolate almonds are the bomb.

And the Vanilla Almond cereal is new for me this trip, but I love it! Does TJ’s ever do wrong?

And during the summer, I like picking up one…or two…bottles of rose for a spring afternoon. And if you haven’t tried TJ’s sunscreen, do yourself a favor and pick up a bottle. It is So. Good. And it sells out. So go grab it now!

What have I forgotten or never tried that’s a must buy from TJ’s???

  1. I get the marcona almonds with rosemary . They are my fave. I always buy the buffalo chicken dip and almonds. Hadley loves their bean burrito and pretzel bagels. Just last weekend, they finally had the lemon basil pasta salad in stock and it was so good. I hope they have it all summer.

    1. I’m going to try the marcona almonds with rosemary next time! I was debating between those and the truffle ones. Always some little delightful surprise at Trader Joe’s 😀

  2. I have been wanting to get a bottle of that Palm rose, we only seemed to get a few bottles of it in Toronto and it was gone quickly. Hope it is good! The regular Whispering Angel is so good, my favourite rose. Now at $30 a bottle, I don’t get it much (and please don’t tell me what you paid as I know the US prices are always so much less!).

    1. Ahhh. I won’t tell you how much it is here. They had whispering angel at Costco the last time I went, too. I stocked up for the summer 🤪
