What’s Up Wednesday {10.28.20}

My last What’s Up Wednesday was in June! Four whole months ago! I few things have changed since then. Little Jonathan has changed our family forever. I can’t believe he’s going to be three months old on Friday. How do babies grow up so fast?!

I’m linking up with Shay and Sheaffer to share with you what’s going on in our life lately!

1: WHAT WE’RE EATING THIS WEEK:

  • Sunday: Chicken pot pie
  • Monday: Leftovers
  • Tuesday: Chicken teriyaki stir fry
  • Wednesday: Leftovers
  • Thursday: Homemade pizza
  • Friday: Carry out dinner

2: WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT:

Halloween’s past! We’re not doing trick-or-treating this year, but I love looking at how much Harrison has grown since his first Halloween.

When Harrison was six months old, he dressed up as Where’s Waldo?

Last year, Harrison dressed up as Mario. I’m so excited for this year’s costume with baby Jonathan!

3. WHAT I’M LOVING:

Quiet moments to get to know Jonathan at home…

With Harrison back at daycare, I’m loving getting to spend time focusing just on Jonathan. Talking to him, making him smile, and cuddling him. I love this phase when you’ve found a groove together, and they’re just so cuddly and sweetness.

4. WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO:

We’ve been getting out to enjoy the good fall weather as much as we can! And getting out just to be outside even when it’s not as nice.

Harrison is finishing up soccer this week.

We went to the pumpkin patch with the cousins!

And we’ve been watching a lot of football! It feels good to have sports back. Somehow life feels a little more normal that way.

5. WHAT I’M DREADING:

Not much at the moment. I’m in the latter half of my maternity leave, and can’t believe that I’ll be back to work come January. But I’m going to enjoy these last couple of months with little Jonathan at home.

6. WHAT I’M WORKING ON:

Not much! Just enjoying being at home with Jonathan and the boys on the weekends. It feels like enough to juggle home, meals, the boys, etc. right now that I don’t feel like I need or have the energy for another project on my plate.

7. WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT:

I’m excited for trick-or-treating 2020 style this weekend! I’m going to go find our Easter eggs and hide them around the house or in the yard and let Harrison and cousin Evie go trick-or-treating in their costumes that way. 🙂

8. WHAT I’M WATCHING & READING:

I’m currently not reading anything. I finished reading 1-2-3 Magic a few weeks back, and I haven’t started anything new since then.

Nathan and I just finished watching Upload on Amazon Prime.

It was light, easy, and entertaining. The finale was….weird. But given that we’re on a hiatus from all of our shows, it was a nice change of pace.

I’ve been watching all of the seasons of Real Housewives of Potomac. It maaaay be my favorite RH franchise ever.

9. WHAT I’M LISTENING TO:

I do a whole lot of listening to the Daily still. Aside from watching the first 20 minutes of the Today show, I get my news from this podcast.

10. WHAT I’M WEARING:

A lot of workout leggings and sweatshirts. With no zoom meetings and no activities most days, it’s just what’s easier right now. And honestly, what fits. Those pre-pregnancy jeans are still feeling mighty tight these days.

11. WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND:

We’ve got trick-or-treating our backyard 2020 style this weekend with our boys! Aside from that, I’m sure there will be football watched, soccer played, naps taken, and maybe some pizza thrown in there for good measure.

12. WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH:

I’m looking forward to Thanksgiving with our little family! I have no idea what that will entail this year, but I’m excited for it none the less.

Happy Wednesday, friends!

    1. I can’t believe I’ve gone this long without watching RHOP! I was talking to a friend last month about what our favorite Real Housewives franchise was, and she said her favorite was Potomac, so I had to go back to the beginning and watch.

  1. Congratulations on your new baby! I love your son’s previous Hallowe’en costumes. They’re so good! Enjoy the rest of your maternity leave.
