Remember back in March when the world shut down, we all thought for sure we’d be through this pandemic in a few a weeks? Maybe a month. And all of the germ experts were like….you all have no idea. Buckle up. This thing is likely coming back for a second wave in the fall and winter. And that seemed so impossible and so far away?? And here we are in December. Still in a pandemic. CRAZY. We’ve been through almost an entire year living in a pandemic. It seems like the end is in sight, though. There’s hope that we don’t have another year of this, at least. And I am READY to be able to see my family again.

I’ve got a whole host of FAMILY stuff today. What’s this blog without Jonathan and Harrison pictures? A little bit of style and one of my FAVORITE sales of the year. And just some randomness. Have a wonderful weekend, friends!

Watching these little guys together over the holiday weekend was the best. Four days of Harrison giving hugs to his brother, trying to make him laugh, and fetching his lovie for him when he cried. I love being their mom.

Madewell is one of my favorite clothing brands. They have such good basics: t-shirts, jeans, sweaters. They’re higher quality stuff, and not super trendy, so I wear my staples year after year after year after year.

They have something like two sales a year, and one of them is going on right now. All of this is 30% off including their denim.

Loved this shirt and in particular the detail of the buttons down the back.

Ordered my normal size XS. This is a perfect “first trimester” or “fourth trimester” shirt because it hides the extra tummy area. 😊. LINK HERE.

Is there such a thing as too many basic t-shirts? I didn’t think so. Ordered an XS. Go up one size if you prefer a baggier t-shirt fit. LINK HERE

Of the MANY pairs of jeans I own, more than half of them are Madewell. Maybe even closer to 75%. They wash and wear beautifully, don’t lose their shape or color, and last for FOREVER. I think I’ve only had to throw out one pair ever that got a hole in the booty after years of wear. And then I went to Poshmark, and found the exact pair I had to throw out, and bought them again because I loved them that much. LINK HERE.

We loved getting to cook Thanksgiving dinner this year. We missed all of our family, of course, but we had so much fun doing the whole dinner on our own. Picking out recipes, hanging around the house with the boys all day. This smoked turkey (about to go on the smoker) was the absolute best turkey I think I’ve ever had for Thanksgiving. Yum!

My favorite coffee of the year is out! I look forward to it ALL YEAR. It’s like a cup of Christmas in a mug.

I decided to start Elf on a Shelf this year! I thought Harrison would be so excited each morning to go find his elf, George. We’ll see if that turns out to be the case! I think the hardest part is going to be not touching him. Mr. 2-year-old likes to play with Every. Thing.

Have a wonderful weekend, friends!

  1. Your boys are so cute and I really like that first shirt from Madewell. It is a fun store, especially their sale section :). Have a good wekeend!

  2. The turkey looks amazing, and I love Madewell. My husband got me a giftcard there (he wandered into the store having never heard of it) and said he thought I might like it 😊Enjoy your elf years. I think this may be our last year.
