We finally took our first big vacation as a family of four. We headed down to Florida’s northwest beaches, “30a” for a week of sand, sun, and so many memories. We had THE BEST time. It was long awaited, and on our very last day, Harrison woke up and said, “I’m going to miss the beach.” Sounds like we’ll be taking our little beach babies back!
Ready for take-off! First time on a plane for me in 22 months!
These kids are tired of the airport and ready for the BEACH.
The house we rented was truly spectacular. A short walk from the beach, and three floors. A Robbins sleeping floor, a Lane sleeping floor, and a middle, common living room and kitchen floor. It was perfect for our families with little kids, so that everyone had their own space.
We ordered our groceries for pick-up, so we had our big grocery trip out of the way and we could get straight to unloading and doing all the fun things ASAP.
We headed down to the beach before we got ready for dinner. The kids were ready to jump in, and baby J was intrigued by all the sand and water.
Here we all are ready to head to dinner in Seaside. Someone was a little hangry…
We made early dinner reservations at Great Southern in Seaside for our first night. It’s one of the most recommended restaurants in Seaside, and after a day of traveling and snacking most of the day, it was DELICIOUS.
Give me all the fresh oysters!!! The first of many oysters on our trip.
The next morning, we got up and ready for a full beach day! These two little cousins had so much fun playing together this trip.
After an epic search for beach toys for the kids, we finally headed down to the beach.
After afternoon naps at the house, we headed into Seaside again for a sweet afternoon treat at Frostbites.
We did dinner at home that evening, grilling up burgers and hot dogs, and headed to bed to prepare for…another beach day on Monday…
These little babies took to the beach so well!
Post-naps, we drove to a little outdoor area with shops. The kids ran around, and the adults bought a couple of souvenirs.
That evening, Nathan and I stayed home and cooked dinner for the kids while the Robbins headed out on the town for a date night.
30A is a great vacay spot. I can’t wait to read part 2
It is! And so easy to get there for those of us in the Midwest. 😊
Yes, it’s driveable from here, so that’s what most people do…or Charleston area because it’s a bit closer.
