Fall Transitional Clothing

It’s September. And in my mind, September equates to fall. Fall weather, fall clothes, cozy fall soups and blankets.

Last week, I shared our family’s Fall Bucket List.

This week, I’m sharing my favorite fall transitional clothes. As I’m writing this blog post, though, it’s sunny and 90* out today. Ninety. I’ve got a fall state of mind: wanting to dress with all of the rich, warm colors of fall, but still be comfortable in a state that’s stuck in summer weather. Here are some of the items in my closet that I’m reaching for over and over again right now as we transition into fall:

This short sleeve maroon blouse is perfect for work or dinner out. It’s from a local boutique, but here are some similar styles:

These shoes are my current go-to fall shoes:

I bought them during the Nordstrom anniversary sale , and they are comfy, easy slip-on’s that are the perfect fall color.

I bought this dress several years back during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale right before finding out I was pregnant, and then I didn’t really get to wear it that fall because you know….growing a baby sort of things kind of took over my normal wardrobe. The navy blue is perfect for fall, and I dress it down a bit for work with a long cardigan and booties. This fall, I wore it to a wedding. Super comfortable and cute.

Here are some similar styles from the same brand:

And last but not least, my favorite sweaters of all time. They are lightweight and perfect for a cold office during the early fall. They come in LOADS of colors. I own at least five of them, and when I can’t decide what to wear, I usually grab one of these. They wash and dry perfectly and are a staple of my fall and winter wardrobe.

These are only three of the colors they come in! They also have a really cute maroon color, bright pink, and lavender.
