We got a little taste of beautiful spring weather last weekend. And now, this weekend is going to be cold and grey. Isn’t that always the case, though? Spring seems to show up for just a moment. Enough to quench your soul and make you feel alive again. And then it disappears for another month…or two. But it had me daydreaming about spring walks with the new baby, and garden centers filled with flowers.
It was just enough to brighten our home and my soul.
We’ve had a super busy week at the house this week. We had an egress window installed in the basement, so that one day we can finish off the basement and count the square footage as finished space. AND I prepped our (used to be) playroom for our painter to come start work on painting the new nursery!
Last weekend, a few of my friends threw me the cutest little baby sprinkle. My motto post-COVID is that all things should be celebrated, so even though I had a baby shower and no one knows the gender of this little one, I loved getting to see all of my girlfriends in one place!
Not to mention that we are set on diapers for awhile thanks to all of their Huggies diaper gifts!
I had so much fun, and left feeling so very thankful for each one of them.
And if a cute baby sprinkle wasn’t enough….I’ve been staring at this flower and color combination all week wondering if this may be my inspiration for my color scheme for the garden this year…
I bought this umbrella for Jonathan’s Easter basket this year, and it’s just way too cute not to share. He’s going to LOVE the tractors.
Morgan Wallen’s new album is so good. It’s been on repeat since it came out last week! Have you listened to it yet? And what do you think?
I bought these matching jammies for the boys and their new brother/sister. The boys loooove jammies, and love matching. I thought it was the perfect “gift” for the new baby to give its big brothers when they meet.
And given that we love our family beach time, I was so excited to find these!
I hope you all have a great Friday! I’ll see you back here next week!
That sprinkle looked wonderful and like so much fun and I love the boys and new baby’s matching jammies. They are so cute.
It was so fun to be able to celebrate this baby with friends. 💛
The sprinkle looks so fun. You are glowing! Love your dress. The matching pjs are precious. After a run of springtime weather, it’s cold here too. I think I will make chili one more time 🙂 have a great weekend
Ha! We have the same idea. I thought to myself yesterday that I should make a warm, hearty soup just one more time this season before the weather really brings more more spring timey.
The baby sprinkle looks lovely. Your kids are going to look so cute in their matching pjs. We have had extremely hot days over here but some mornings have been quite cool. Autumn will be well and truly here soon but I’m not ready to let go of summer!
Well now I’m curious as to where you live… ☺️
