Friday Favorites {03.18.21}

Happy Friday, friends! We’ve been surviving with Nathan gone most of this week, but he comes back tomorrow! And I’m so excited to have my guy back. Life is just better and easier with him.

I’ve got a hodgepodge of favorites this week. My favorite self-tanner, some BIG NEWS on the house front, a cute new spring dress, and of course, pictures of my babies. This wouldn’t be the Lane blog without pictures of the Lane boys! Hope you have a good weekend!

Last Sunday, the gray cold winter finally went away, and we spent all of the time outside! It’s always amazing to me how my attitude changes when I can spend some time outside, and when the boys can run around and play ball, go on walks, and explore outside. Yay for spring!

How cute is this fun spring dress?! Now I just need a fun place to wear it! I usually wear between an XS and S, and this is a Small. Slides are from Nordstrom HERE.

Spring is here, and my body hasn’t seen the sun for six months. I pulled out my favorite self-tanner products this past week for a faux-glow. Body Tanner HERE + Face tanner HERE. I use a mitt to apply the body faux tan like this ONE.

We tried this new recipe for honey lime chicken enchiladas this week, and it was SO GOOD!

I’ve been pinning and saving all of the inspiration pictures because we’ve decided to renovate the house! I’m so excited and so overwhelmed all at the same time! I’ve been reaching out to design/build renovation firms in KC all week, and getting recommendations from people who have already gone through a renovation in our area. We are so excited to get this process started!

    1. Thank you!! I’m really excited to have a space that works for us, but it’ll be quite the process to get there!

    2. We are on the homestretch of remodeling the Black Hills kitchen and guest bathroom. Whatever timeline you hear, double or triple it! That will save some of your sanity!

      1. Ahhh! That’s what I’ve heard. Add a certain percentage of time and money on top of whatever they tell you. It’ll be nice to have an updated cabin, though, for you all! I remember when grandma got a dishwasher and that was a HUGE deal.

        1. Ah, yes, the apartment size dishwasher that you could not even fit a meal’s worth of dishes in it! And sounded like a jet plane taking off 🙂

  1. Yay! I’m so happy you’re choosing to renovate. For some reason I just get the sense you really really love your house (I mean it looks gorgeous…and that backyard 😍).

    1. We do love this house and location so much. I’m excited to think that we’ll get many more years in this house now.

  2. Well done on making a decision on the house, so hard to do, but good to have a path forward. That dress is adorable, I clicked on it but seems like they only have XL left, too bad.

    1. We’re excited about the house! Now it’s time to move forward with all the decisions including finding a designer and contractor. 🙂
