Well just when I think we may be out of the sickness woods of the winter of 2022, I’m proven wrong again. We have one kid home sick with the flu, and the whole family is on tamiflu. Ah! When will the sickness this year end?!
We’ll be focused on getting our little guy better and hopefully having some fun along the way this weekend. Hope you guys have a great weekend!
In the middle of last week, I surprised Harrison at school before lunch, and we played hooky for the rest of the day going to a Royals baseball game together. Since Jonathan was born, the amount of time I’ve gotten to spend one-on-one with Harrison has gone down significantly. I love having both of the boys, and doing things with them, but it’s so interesting how the dynamics change when you get to focus on just one kid at a time.
Many years ago, like pre-kids, I read a fellow blogger doing a skip day with each of their kids, and I’ve held on to that idea for YEARS thinking I wanted to do the same thing when the time came around. It was the best time to just focus on my big, little man for an afternoon.
I know I sound like a broken record, but if I find a recipe that is BOMB and super easy, I’m going to share it with you. Everybody loved this Half Baked Harvest recipe!
I love the background of this picture. Like truly my life. Our house is never picked up when the boys are home.
Harrison has struggled with super sensitive skin and eczema his whole life, so I’m super conscientious of using any soaps or lotions that aren’t super gentle and natural. He got these bath bombs from a friend for his birthday, and we were so excited that his skin actually improved using these in the bath a couple of times! His skin was so soft, and the dye used for the water didn’t stain anything. He loves them, and it’s so nice to have a fun bath time treat that he can use!
I loved my Clarisonic face cleaning brush so much. For years it never failed me. Until, I went to buy brush refills and found out that Clarisonic went out of business…
After searching and researching for months, I decided to buy this new face cleansing brush, and I LOVE it. Buffs off dead skin cells, forces me to spend a couple of minutes cleansing with its timer, and no gross brush head. Simple wash off of the silicone.
And an Instagram post that hit home this week. It feels like a spa at home when everyone leaves the house. It’s like my mind exhales as that door shuts.
Have a great weekend, friends!
Aw, hope everyone is on the mend soon. It’s so tough when the kids are little and you feel like no one is the house is ever going to be healthy again.
That is literally exactly how I feel. 😣
I’m intrigued by that cleansing tool.
Fun you got to go to a baseball game!
Playing hooky is always fun
The bath bombs are cool!!!

Having a special day with your son is such a great idea! Yay for baseball being back!
I love the Royals pic. So sweet. I hope everyone is better / healthy now. Hadleys strep came out of nowhere on Monday and it took her out. She powered through school on Thursday/ Friday and dance competition Friday night but she’s been laying low the rest of the weekend. I hope you’ve had a great weekend
