I thought we’d do something a little bit different today for Friday Favorites. I’m sharing all of my favorites MEDIA related as the first in a segment of ”getting to know more about Lauren.” 🙂

Favorite Movie: My favorite movie of all time is Good Will Hunting, and it has been for years! I can quote pretty much the entire movie by heart. I love the characters, the dialogue, the whole thing.

I don’t think I’ve watched a whole movie in years. I rarely sit down with two plus hours to just sit and watch something. It’s just not my season of life right now. I hear the new Top Gun movie is really good, so it’s making me wonder if we need to find a way to slip away for a few hours to see it.

Favorite TV show: Gilmore Girls has my heart for forever. When I want something mindless playing in the background, I always choose Gilmore Girls. The main character, Rory, and I were the same age, so it felt like I was growing up with her.

My favorite TV show that is still on TV is Yellowstone. Have you watched it?

Favorite Celebrity: Many years ago, I would have said Matt Damon. Celebrity crush, for sure. Just as a human being that I’m fascinated with…right now, definitely Taylor Swift. But she’s so private! But also absolutely fascinating.

Favorite reality show: I kind of consider myself an expert in this area. It’s my escape and mindless enjoyment. My favorite non Real Housewives show is Summer House.

Favorite Real Housewives franchise is probably RHOBH, but Potomac is a close second.

Favorite podcast: The Daily is my must listen to every time it airs.

Favorite artist: Probably Taylor Swift. Eric Church & Thomas Rhett, though, are right there in the mix.

Favorite app: I use Instagram the most. But I’ve found it kind of exhausting me lately. I just don’t love Reels, and I miss the importance of the writing that used to go with posting a beautiful picture. It feels like it’s becoming more and more of a “sound bite” kind of culture, and I really love and miss the longer format. I guess that’s why I have always loved blogs. 🙂
