But we’re going to talk about the things I don’t like that seemingly the entire world LOVES.
I just find myself shrugging my shoulders and moving on about these things…but I do think it’s fun to find other fellow haters of the same things. So, if you see something here that you’re totally on board with not understanding the appeal, let me know!
Cinnamon :: That cinnamon Christmas smell makes my head hurt. It’s just waaaaay too much for me. And that being said, like full-on cinnamon things like: Big Red gum, hot tamales….yuck. So gross. I will not, however, be turning down a cinnamon roll anytime soon. I’m not crazy.
All Will Ferrell movies :: They aren’t funny. Not even a little bit. I find him to insert a heavy dose of obnoxious into every character he plays, and I can’t stand it.
Twitter :: My husband loves it. I just deleted the account I opened eight years ago and used for like a month. Maybe I didn’t follow the right people to get into it…
Gin & Tonics :: If you’re interested in what Pine Sol tastes like, I’m pretty sure that’s a gin and tonic.
Roses :: You knew there would be a flower somewhere in here, right? I have one rose. It’s a climbing rose that goes over my arbor. But 99.9% of roses are more of a pain than they’re worth. The thorns, prone to disease, and an abysmal vase life inside. I can do without roses in my garden or bought from the florist.
Fantasy Sports anything :: I tried to play. I don’t get it, I’m awful at it, and the time suck. Holy moly.
Stanley cups :: Do I own one? No. But you guys, it’s a cup. There have been other “cool” cups before. See the yeti, see Speck waterbottles. Here’s my not so hot take: you should just use a waterbottle that you like and works for your lifestyle. There’s no way your life is going to be that changed by a waterbottle. And the whole “they sell out in minutes!” junk to try to make it seem like they’re a bigger deal than they actually should be, well…it’s just that. It’s a gimmick.
Real Housewives of Atlanta :: It’s the highest rated franchise of all the Real Housewives franchises, and I just can’t do it.
Biker shorts :: I wore biker shorts when I was in second grade. I haven’t worn them since then. That lewk is just not for me.
Keurig’s :: It tastes like water-ed down coffee. I firmly believe the morning should start with a really incredible cup of coffee.
Award shows :: The acceptance speeches, the big to-do that’s made about the celebrities…I just don’t get it.
I don’t get the Stanley cup situation either! I stopped watching Atlanta a few years ago…& I watch a lot of bad tv 😂 I just couldn’t handle all the fighting
Every couple of years, I’m being told there’s a new cup/water bottle I need to buy. It’s so weird. And same on the Atlanta housewives. I love some good drama, but the fighting on that franchise was just the worst. 😕
I agree!
Oh I just love cinnamon smells and tastes; give me all the cinnamon gum and candles! But I’m weird in that I don’t get the appeal of any type of alcoholic drink; I mean I’ve had a few that were pretty good but 100% of the time I’ll enjoy them even more if they’re made virgin. I can taste the alcohol and it just tastes awful to me. I also don’t drink coffee in any form- hot cold, sugary, watered down it’s all nasty… though I do love coffee ice cream. I don’t get social media in general; I’ve resigned myself to Facebook for another 3 years while my youngest finishes homeschooling and then I’m outta there (so many of our group meetups are planned through FB but I have yet to actually use my Instagram account and I have never even looked at twitter or any of the others). I do like Pinterest though and find it useful for recipes and craft project ideas.
Oh my goodness, Joanne. I think all of these things are just fascinating! Hate coffee but love coffee ice cream?! I hear you on social media. It feels like such a big waste of time and effort versus what positive things it gives me sometimes! I wish I loved cinnamon. Especially around the holidays! So many holiday scents that just don’t do it for me. 🙃
Love award shows, Twitter and Gin and Tonics. Shaking my head at Stanley cups, Real Housewives, Biker Shorts, and Keurigs. I love this idea for a post!!
So interesting!
I can’t handle the movie “Elf”. It drives me
Crazy or Atlanta housewives. I agree with the smell of things being strong. I totally get where you are coming from
Every Christmas I try to watch Elf. I just can’t…it’s too much. 😐
