After a full week last week of pretty much constant rain, it gave way to a beautiful weekend. Nathan went golfing for the first time in over a year, we played outside for hours on end, and even got to spend some time with my sister and the cousins.
Today, I’m linking up with Shay and Sheaffer to share with you what’s going on in our life!
1: WHAT WE’RE EATING THIS WEEK:
- Saturday: Cheesy Pasta Florentine
- Sunday: Burgers & Hot dogs
- Monday & Tuesday: Leftovers
- Wednesday: Shrimp Fried Rice
- Thursday: Leftovers
- Friday: Take-out
2: WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT:
Sweet baby J is on the verge of crawling, and it’s had me reminiscing about what Harrison was doing at the same age. I’ve gone back and looked at his baby book, wondering when he said his first word, when he started pulling up. Of course, my memory of certain milestones and things that he did seems to be very off when trying to remember the exact point in his little life. Time is a funny thing that way. It feels like things happened so much faster than they actually did.
3. WHAT I’M LOVING:
Brand new spring color! I took last week off, and went to the garden center three times. No shame. It’s so nice to have some color, though, after a very, very long winter.
4. WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO:
Harrison moved up a class at the beginning of March. He got to join his best buddies in early pre-k. He’s loved being back with his buds, and is thriving with the new lessons and routine.
We’ve had a few weekends of nice weather. There’s been some grilling burgers and hot dogs, and enjoying being outside again.
We’ve seen my fully vaccinated parents without masks for the time in over a year. They held their new little grand baby and playing soccer with Harrison. It’s been a slow creeping back to more normal life
5. WHAT I’M DREADING:
I’m really not dreading much right now. I finished my work busy season, and spring has me feeling happy!
6. WHAT I’M WORKING ON:
Picking paint colors. Lord, help me. I’ll be here looking at paint samples on various walls for at least the next month. The pressure of picking something we’re going to love for a very long time stresses me out! It’s like the fear I have of putting nail holes in the wall, which has resulted in virtually no pictures on our walls seven years into living in our house.
Here’s the colors I’m looking at right now…
Staring at paint samples. That’s what I’ll be doing all weekend. 😊
7. WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT:
VACCINATIONS! Nathan and I were fortunate enough to get vaccinated a couple of weeks ago. The rest of our family that isn’t already vaccinated have all gotten their first dose, or in J&J’s case, their one shot. Friends are getting their shots soon or have already gotten them, and man, I’m ready to see friends and family! I’m so excited!
8. WHAT I’M WATCHING & READING:
Hi, I’m Lauren. I’m the slowest reader alive, and I’m still reading Thomas Rhett’s wife, Lauren’s book…
We are watching Summer House…
And we just finished watching Becoming You on AppleTV…
They followed 100 children all over the year for the first five years of their lives. It was so interesting, especially watching our two little ones learn so much about themselves and their world now.
9. WHAT I’M LISTENING TO:
I’m currently catching up on…
10. WHAT I’M WEARING:
Things that are old that I just love and will likely to continue to wear for many, many years.
These 525 sweaters…
Went inside a Target the other day to get the five things I needed. I came out five things that weren’t on my list and couldn’t find the five things that were on my list. Point being, I’ll be sticking to drive-up orders with Target unless I’m in the mood to browse…but I did come home with this cute and comfy sweatshirt that has pockets and thumb loops. The perfect weight for spring too…I can’t find it online, though! It was in the workout clothes section of the store.
11. WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND:
When we were at the park last weekend with my sister, I full blown realized that there was only one more weekend until Easter. How did this sneak up so fast! We’re doing an egg hunt with the cousins, a special brunch at home with Easter church service, and I imagine the Easter bunny will make a visit to the house as well. The kids have Friday off from school, so I’m going to let Harrison try his hand at dying Easter eggs!
12. WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH:
April is Harrison’s birthday month! I’m looking forward to celebrating my THREE year old, and soccer will start for him that same month. Fun and exciting things ahead!
Happy Wednesday, friends!
My little boy’s name is Harrison! Your Harrison is so cute! I am so ready for spring weather to get here and stay!
MeetTheShaneyfelts
Such a good name, in my opinion 😜
Love your outfits!! Love the color white dove! I am so ready for Spring weather to finally stay and hoping that summer weather doesn’t get here too quick!
I love white dove too! I’ve used it on all of our trim for rooms we’ve re-done. It’s the wall colors that make me anxious to have to make a decision. 😂
How exciting that so many of you are vaccinated already!!! We’re still waiting here in Canada… Enjoy hugging your parents.
What is the timeframe that you all are expecting vaccinations will be widely available???
We’ve heard that all adults who want it, will have a first dose by the end of June. That’s hopeful news. However, Canada has no way to manufacture vaccines so we’re totally dependent on shipments from other countries which causes delays…
June doesn’t sound too far away! It seems like production is moving pretty quickly so maybe even June is on the longer timeframe. 🤞🏼
