Recipe Round-Up III

Quarantine over the past year really forced us to add and try more new recipes, since we were cooking almost every meal at home. I started putting out a little recipe round-up of recipes we really loved and ones that we decided not to make again.

Recipe Round-Up I || Recipe Round-Up II

This is my third recipe round-up. I hope you can find something new you’d like to try!

Emily Bites’ Korean-Inspired Ground Turkey

This was actually recommended by a friend on Instagram, and I was just sort meh about this. It tasted good, but both Nathan and I agreed that it reminded us a lot of our beef with broccoli or teriyaki stir fry recipes, and we’d rather have one of those than this.

Make Again Meter? No. We’re going to stick to some other soy sauce based recipes that we like more.

The Girl Who Ate Everything’s Easy Beef Burrito Skillet

I really liked this one. It was EASY, and only one pan. Was it my favorite Mexican food dish that I make? No. But it was delicious, easy, and everybody enjoyed it. And for me, that means it makes it into the rotation. 😊

Make Again Meter? Yes! I will definitely be making again. Particularly on school nights when we have other activities in the evening.

Delish’s Slow-Cooker Short Ribs

Whole Foods was out of short ribs when I placed my order to make these slow-cooker short ribs, so I opted for a roast instead. We loved it with the pot roast. I browned the roast and followed the same directions for the short ribs, and it turned out so good. I served it with Trader Joe’s mashed potatoes, and it was a great meal.

Make Again Meter? Definitely. I’ve already made it again, in fact!

Cafe Delite’s Perfect French Toast

We started making brunch on Sunday mornings, and neither Nathan or myself had learned how to make French toast. Maybe we’re the only ones in that boat. But it not, we highly recommend this recipe! It’s delicious, and we’ve decided our favorite French toast is made with sourdough bread. Yum!

Make Again Meter? We’ve made it many times. So Good!

What have been your favorite recipes lately?
