Let’s Look At…Closet Organization

It’s Let’s Look day with Shay @ Mix and Match Mama and Erika @ A Little Bit of Everything! If you’re new here, it’s one day a month that we share a little peak into some aspect of our lives. So far this year, I’ve shared:

Many years ago now, Nathan gifted me a new closet. We used a very reasonably priced Elfa closet system to re-do my closet in our primary bedroom, and I’ve loved it everyday since then.

Here’s what my closet looked like before:

AND HERE ARE THE AFTER PICS!

Short hanging space is separated by short sleeved, jackets, and long sleeves.

Long hanging space along the other wall for work clothes (which I haven’t worn in years now…but it feels hard to get rid of such expensive things!), dresses, and jeans

I used to be obsessed with stuffed animals. They lined my entire room as a kid. Am I the only one that has kept some into adulthood? These are particularly special to me as they are from certain family members at particularly meaningful points in my life. I also have a few letters/notes that were super special to me sitting here too when I need an extra pick-me-up. Notes from Nathan, one from my sister from when she told me I was going to be an aunt for the first time. Just a special little space just for me.

Shelves for bag and purse storage

A light fixture change added a little more pretty-ness to this space.

I love that the drawers are inlaid with these baskets that you can easily remove to organize. But the drawers are used for all of my sweaters, underwear, bras. And then we have a basket for family medicine and travel items like travel toothpaste, toothbrushes, disposable razors, etc.

It’s been a wonderful little private organized space for me for years.
