If you’re new around here, once a month I link up with two of my favorite blogs (Shay @ Mix and Match Mama and Erika @ A Little Bit of Everything), to share a “look” into some little aspect of our life. Here’s a peak back at what we’ve “looked” at so far this year:
- In January, we looked at our bedside table
- In February, we looked at our winter wardrobe
- In March, we looked at what’s inside our purse
- In April, we looked at Easter at our house
- In May, we looked at our weekends
- In June, I shared where I was dreaming about vacationing
- In July, I shared my very pregnant summer wardrobe
- I missed August and September with a new baby….
- In October, we looked at how we pumpkin
- and last month, we looked at our holiday menu
Today we’re sharing our Christmas cards!
I love Christmas cards. I love giving them. I love receiving them. I love that it’s a whole month of mail that has more than just bills and advertisements, and instead smiling faces of families I love!
Growing up pre-social media days, my Mom always did a Christmas letter that would update all of our friends on what happened with each of us over the past year. A few years back, she bound in a notebook all of the Christmas letters from the time we were little and gave my sister and I a book. It was so fun sitting and reading back through letters from years and years ago.
When Nathan and I got married, I started sending official Christmas cards too. (I know – some wait until there are littles in the picture – but I wanted our entire married lives documented through Christmas cards. 🙂 )
I usually include a little snippet of what’s been going on for the Lanes over the past year. This year pretty much only says that we stayed home, and our precious little Jonathan Brooks joined the family in July.
Love the saying for the card. So perfect for you family in 2020.
It’s about the only worthwhile thing to report this year!
Well, it’s a big share. What a blessing for your family in 2020.
I think that is so neat your mom bound the Christmas letters; what a fun memory book!
It really was a great idea. I’m so thankful now to have them.
