Halloween 2021

Well, sometimes even though you have two days off work, you don’t get around to sitting down and writing instead of checking things off to-do lists. So, I’m sorry I disappeared last week! We’re still enjoying Halloween and fall over here, but I love that so many friends are starting to deck the halls!

This is my own little scrapbook of my boys’ life, so we’re going to stick with Halloween for a minute and I wanted to share some pictures from the holiday. We had so much fun trick-or-treating!

Friday afternoon, the boys had their Halloween parties at daycare.

Our Trip to 30A 2021: Part 3

I’ve shared the first two part of our Beach Trip to Florida’s northwest beaches Here and Here. Today, I’m sharing the final couple of days of our trip. After a half a week at the beach, we were really getting into our stride and never wanted to leave. 😊

After the morning in Seaside with the kids, we opted for the beach in the afternoon and a beach picnic to round out the day! It was so fun to go to the beach with the kiddos at a different time this day, and they thought it was too fun to have pizza delivered on the beach.

What’s Up Wednesday {10.27.21}

Time for my favorite post of the month. These are so fun to share a little sprinkling of so many things in our life.

As always, I’m linking up with Shay and Sheaffer to share with you what’s going on in our life!

1: WHAT WE’RE EATING THIS WEEK: I’m trying a new recipe this week! Ginger Chicken & Spinach Ramen, and I’m really excited about it. Aside from that, we’re going to do a roast as well.

2: WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT:

Baby J is showing more and more of his personality. He loves the book Brown Bear Brown Bear, and wants to read it constantly. It’s so interesting to me how different our little Jonathan is already compared to Harrison, who at this age was waaaaay more into it balls and all things active.

Friday Favorites 10.22.21

I had the realization this week, as I worked through scheduling end of the year doctor appointments and PTO for work, that the holidays are coming super fast. Halloween is next weekend. Thanksgiving only a few weeks after that. And then apparently we need to already have our Christmas shopping done because nothing is going to show up on time if we wait until December. I’m sure that’s partially true…but does anyone else wonder how much we should ACTUALLY be concerned versus how much is a bit overstated?

A little bit of home decor, a lot a bit of babies, and some food for your Friday Favorites this week! Have a wonderful weekend, friends!

All of the Halloween and fall decor is making my days so happy! I shared a full tour of our home decorated for fall and Halloween earlier this week!

Fall House Tour 2021

It’s FALL HOUSE TOUR day! I little peak inside our house this fall. And a look outside, as well. This is the first year I really decorated for fall outside, and our patio looks so friendly and fall-ish! Why didn’t I do this ages ago??

Harrison looooooves the addition of the skeleton that talks when you walk by it. I saved some of my gladiolus bulbs and realized that their dried leaves were actually the perfect addition to my front pot to decorate for fall. It looks a little like dried cornstalks. But not as big. And free.

And these cute little planters are switched out for fall…

Sticker Nails

It takes me a while to try out a fad. I really have to be convinced that maybe there’s something to it. That maybe there’s a reason that so many people like it. Maybe that’s the reason it’s taken me so long to try sticker nail polish. Years have gone by since I first heard friends and acquaintances talk about sticker nail polish. Usually I’d hear it in relation to a particular company, Color Street. And that was fine for everyone else, but having painted nails was just never my thing.

I’m tough on my nails. I can’t stand to have them long. They are used for digging in the dirt, peeling off stickers from objects that stickers should have never been stuck to, and just general housework. My entire life, painted nails only resulted in immediately a chip in the nail polish, followed by days of me slowly peeling off all remaining nail polish. Once it chips, I just can’t help myself! So I had resigned myself to just not being a fingernail polish person.

I’m not sure why I changed my mind, but I finally decided to give sticker nail polish a shot. After some research, I decided to try out Dashing Diva. Why you ask? Because I could order them from Target with the rest of my pick-up order. And convenience at this point in my life with two little boys running around is key.

And you guys…it changed my mindset about painted fingernails. I LOVED them.

Our Seventh Wedding Anniversary

Monday will mark our seven year wedding anniversary. As I sat down to write this post, I thought for a long while about what a surreal feeling it is to have spent so many years doing life with one person. The feeling that day to day feels like it bumps along, and not in the weight of hours, days, weeks, years we have spent working together as a team and loving one another.

But when you go to celebrate an anniversary, the weight of the words of seven years seems substantial. And I keep waiting to feel the weight of that. The weight of seven years. And still, I don’t. I look at our marriage…

Our Trip to 30A 2021: Part 2

You know I have more beach pictures for you all. This is my equivalent of a scrapbook, after all, and we had so much fun at the beach with our boys a couple of weeks ago. Every morning I wake up wanting to go back! The weather, the house, the company and food were all so so so good. If you missed Part 1 of my recap, go back and check it out HERE.

Today is part 2.

After two days at the beach, we didn’t want to do a full beach day, so instead, we went down to the beach for an hour in the morning with the kids.
